Description

Acid reflux and gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GORD) are a group of conditions where excess stomach acid travels back up towards the throat. This results in a burning feeling in the chest. Lansoprazole falls in the category of proton pump inhibitors. It works by hindering proteins that produce acids in the stomach. Lansoprazole is good for relieving GORD, heartburn, stomach ulcers and an inflamed oesophagus.
